Gusseisen hat im Allgemeinen einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von 2,51 TP3T bis 3,51 TP3T. Gussteile aus Kohlenstoffstahl weisen eine relativ gute Festigkeit und Z\u00e4higkeit auf und werden zur Herstellung verschiedener mechanischer Teile und Metallprodukte verwendet.
